What a beautiful day! We spent the day on the east side in Chagrin Falls, what a cute little town. I grew up on the west side so I still find myself getting to know the east side all these years later! The bride’s parent’s home was filled with beautiful natural light which made for beautiful shots.
Melissa is truly stunning. When my shooting partner Alicia and I arrived for the day, we both made comments about how beautiful Melissa is. She has such a warm smile! But I think the true star of the day might have been Melissa’s niece, Nora. I mean…c’mon, look at her…
Melissa’s ceremony was equally as warm and bright. Lots of beautiful natural light. The church was located in the woods, which I have never seen. Goes to show that no two weddings are ever the same! Wanted to share just a couple images from the ceremony below!
This bridal party was big and full of energy! The sun was VERY bright so we were resourceful in getting as many shots as we could in the few shaded areas we could find. We headed to downtown Chagrin Falls and took advantage of the older brick buildings, including this popcorn shop that is apparently a staple of the downtown area…
When we snuck Melissa and Kevin away for their photos, we visited various buildings and a field that was SUPER muddy. Melissa braved it, walked barefoot and never complained! I had a difficult time choosing images to post because there were so many I liked. I also want to save some of the best of the best for Kevin and Melissa’s CD. Here are a couple sneak peeks!
Melissa’s reception was absolutely STUNNING. I was blown away by the decor and the color scheme. She and her wedding coordinator, Denise McPherson of Denise McPherson Design, clearly paid attention to every detail and it really showed!

Really enjoyed this venue, The Federated Church Family Life Center. It is much prettier and elegant than it sounds! Its a HUGE facility, so it would make a great option for bride’s with larger weddings. Lots of natural light and woodwork. I really love that the couple chose to have their bridal party’s significant others sit with them at the head table.
The reception was full of some hilarious dancing. Kevin had to have been the most expressive groom I have ever seen on the dance floor. Typically I never see the groom dancing or I see him being dragged onto the floor by guests or his new wife, but not Kevin. He was definitely enjoying himself and so were the guests!
Kevin and Melissa are off to New Zealand for their honeymoon, but I hope they find some time to take a peek at some of the images I took on their big day!
