Jonathan & Ashley : 7.26.15

Was really happy to meet this couple tonight and give them this engagement shoot! We spent the evening at Rocky River park, such a beautiful night! There are so many images I really love from this session!

Jonathan is a police officer so we incorporated that into the shoot! I always love personal touches put into sessions!

Ashley is from California and Jonathan is from Ohio so we also made sure to incorporate the beach as well as the greenery of the surrounding park! Perfect combination of both home states!

We all were a little adventurous and headed into the water to get some of my favorite shots of the night! Thanks guys for being good sports!

I want to thank this couple for asking me to do this! Congratulations!

Amanda & Bryan Engagement : 7.4.15

Amanda and I met back at a client’s wedding forever ago and she was kind enough to hire me now that it is time for her to get married! I really have enjoyed getting to know her, she is fun and very sweet. This was my first time meeting Bryan, not surprisingly he was also very sweet! I can’t wait for their country wedding in October! Here are just a few sneak peeks of their session!

Thanks guys!

Katelyn & Justin : 6.7.2015

Beautiful night for an engagement session! The next best thing to the golden hour : cloud cover…and we had plenty of it! It was my first time meeting this couple and I really enjoyed getting to know them last night! We started off at Wade Oval (ironically, I was there the day before for a wedding)

Isn’t she beautiful?!

I love walking around the oval, there is a lot of diversity in the landscape and it allows for a versatile set of photos.

Then we headed to Voinovich Park/E. 9th St. Pier and got some shots. I especially love these

The couple had an idea to take a few shots where Justin proposed, I really love incorporating meaningful places/objects into photoshoots. This was no exception and the views were awesome!

I want to thank this couple for spending their evening with me! AND also, for being so patient and kind. While I was driving from Wade Oval to E. 9th, I found a dog darting in and out of traffic. I stopped to rescue him and he jumped in my car. He spent the rest of the shoot quietly resting in my car (with the windows down of course). He spent the night at my friend’s house and we are working on a home for him now. This is not the first time this has happened to me, I seem to find stray animals constantly. Last year at a wedding, I rescued a kitten! The list goes on and on.

Here is a photo (sorry about the bad lighting!)

Kate & Mike : 6.2.15

This engagement session was a fun one! I met Kate about a year ago when she booked me for her January 2016 wedding. I liked her immediately and we became fast friends! Her friend Erin also booked me and we also became friends. This is why I truly love what I do, it is so nice to meet so many fun and interesting people!

Mike and Kate met at Greenhouse Tavern downtown after an Indians game, so it was only fitting that we started the shoot there.

I absolutely loved the rooftop lounge area. I had never been there before and now I want to go back!

Then we ventured to a couple spots on E. 4th street. It was a little busy but I managed to sneak in a few pictures!

Then we were off to the flats where we had some great views of the Cleveland skyline. We even took some photos with their adorable puppy, Lucy. I’ll be saving those for the couple 🙂 Here are some of my favorites from that area.

Mike is a firefighter for Berea and Kate is a nurse! I love this shot and I love to incorporate personal touches like this one.

I can’t wait to photograph this couple’s wedding in January.
