John & Becky : 9.12.15 : Shot by Alicia

I never had the pleasure of meeting Becky in person, but when she originally contacted me I was open for a majority of the 12th. Her wedding fell during times where I didn’t have anything going on so I was excited to shoot her backyard wedding in Grafton.

Unfortunately, life happens and our family lost my husband’s Grandfather just about a week before this wedding, so I was unable to attend this wedding myself because he was laid to rest on the 12th. My main shooting partner Alicia was there to save the day and she took over for me. Before I praise Alicia for how amazing she is, I want to thank my other shooting partner, Sam, for taking over part of my other wedding on the 12th!

This is why it is always important for photographers to have a team of other photographers they know and trust. I started implementing a team of girls working with me when I was pregnant with my daughter, in the event something were to happen. This protects everyone, especially clients!

Now for some amazing photos by Alicia!

Alicia loved how relaxed the vibe was. She was very complimentary of the entire wedding, especially John and Becky.

I want to thank Becky for contacting me and entrusting Alicia to take over your day. It really looks beautiful. And thank you again Alicia for all of your hard work.

Since this blog is so personal to me, I just wanted to share the last photo of my children, mother in law Gayle taken with Grandpa Art. He was a special guy with a great sense of humor and we miss him!

Kealy & Joe : 9.19.15

Weddings are fun for me but even more so when my clients are first and foremost, my friends. Kealy and I know each other through her sister Lauren who is a close friend of mine. I love their entire family and I am very fortunate to capture a second McNally wedding! I have enjoyed getting to know Joe over the past year of planning this wedding and look forward to seeing these two at future family events and the occasional run-ins at the bar!

The day started off incredibly early for me, but I don’t think I stopped laughing from the second I arrived. Once everyone was ready I snuck the girls away for a group shot.

These earrings belonged to Kealy’s Grandma, Lauren also wore these on her wedding day and I also got a shot of the box they came in because I just think it is so special!

Reception was at Aherns and it was nothing less than I expected. A lot of good food, booze and hilarious dancers. I had a terrible time picking out favorite images from this reception!

First off, Katie is like a long lost friend…she and all of her friends crack me up. I loved spending the day with everyone! After an early morning at the salon, it was time to head to Hillbrook in Chagrin Falls for both the ceremony and reception. Such a beautiful location that I always love going to!

Brian & Leah : 9.5.15

I was back at it this weekend with back to back weddings! Had a great time at both weddings! Brian and Leah were Saturday and had an absolutely beautiful day! It was bright and sunny but we were able to find plenty of shade throughout the day to get great photos!

We started the day off at Lather Salon in Rocky River. A friend of mine from high school owns this salon and it’s fabulous! Leah made a great choice!

We did a sparkler shot at this wedding. I have never done this before so I wanted to make sure I did it somewhat right! I was happy with the results! It took us several tries, but we managed to get something usable towards the end!

Rosa & Wilman : 8.8.15

I met Rosa through an online wedding group and she was kind enough to hire me to capture her day! This one was definitely different for me as both the ceremony and reception were in Spanish. I really enjoyed seeing all the cultural aspects of this wedding!
